East Austin Studio Tour is one of the biggest art events in Austin, Texas each year, and
Awst Press graciously shared their studio space with me during the tour. My good friend Wendy Walker (seated in the photograph above) runs the literary press with Tatiana Ryckman (curator, author, and editor, pictured above on the left in the sweater), and copyeditor Emily Roberts (with the fabulous green-tipped curly hair). Awst Press "endeavors to feature impressive work from diverse voices." They're doing great stuff, and you should check them out.
Books and photography: it had the synergistic effect of drawing in folks with lots of different types of interests. Indeed, one of the things I love about participating in festivals is the opportunity to talk to people about not only art (and in this case books and literature), but also to have meaningful conversations with people about their lives. In talking to people about the photographs that they like, I learn snippets about their lives, their past, their tastes, and it often is the start of a great conversation.
Thank you to all the folks who bought my prints and cards, and who stopped by to chat about my photographs. If you saw something you liked that day and would like to order something, you're in the right place! For paper prints, go to the
Galleries link, navigate to the photo(s) you want to purchase, click on the "Buy" button, and then proceed from there. If you want to purchase a Canvas or Metal Print, go to the
Order Canvas Prints tab on the home page for prices and sizes, and then contact me directly at
email@example.com to initiate the order process. I use
PayPal Invoicing for all Canvas and Metal Print payments. This allows you to pay securely over the web using your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, or PayPal account.
Oh, and by the way, that's me in the gray sweater and short hair in the picture on the right with a very special famly who came by to visit the studio last weekend. Always love seeing you, Maria, Sam, Lydia, and Ella!
